Ambre Fuels Limited is building on Ambre Energy's history of developing projects and technologies to address the global issue of rising demand for transport fuels and declining supplies of oil. Ambre Fuels is researching technologies and developing projects to convert low-grade or stranded coal, biomass and oil shale into transport fuels.

In the USA, Ambre Fuels is investigating sites in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Texas to identify the location of our first US coal-to-liquids project while working with our US research partners to master alternative methods for fuel production.

In Australia, Ambre Fuels is identifying sites for the country's first commercial scale coal-to-liquids project. The company owns a 459 million tonne JORC-compliant coal resource in South East Queensland, which is ideally suited to coal gasification.

An independent board directs Ambre Fuels Limited, with separate chief executive officers for the US and Australian operations.
