John Massey joins Ambre Energy's Board

EMERGING Australian and US thermal coal mining and export company Ambre Energy has appointed John Massey as a non-executive Director of its Board.

Mr Massey is currently Chairman of Cardno, Sunstate Cement and UQ Holdings and has extensive senior leadership and strategic development experience spanning diverse industries with companies including Brisbane Airport, Grainco, QDL Pharmaceuticals, Dairy Australia and Thomas Cook.

In 2006, Mr Massey was made a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors for eminence in the field of directorship and was subsequently awarded the 2010 Gold Medal which recognises the Outstanding Company Director in Queensland for achievements in corporate life and to the community.

He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Committee for the Economic Development of Australia (CEDA).

Mr Massey is a National Judge of the global Entrepreneur of the Year awards and Chairman of the Northern Regional Judging panel.

Mr Massey said he was delighted at his appointment with Ambre Energy.

“I am pleased to be joining the Board of Ambre Energy at this important point in the company’s development” Mr Massey said.

Ambre Energy is building a vertically-integrated thermal coal mining and export business in the United States and domestic coal-related businesses in Australia.
