Ambre Fuels Limited is building on Ambre Energy's history of developing projects and technologies to address the global issue of rising demand for transport fuels and declining supplies of oil. Ambre Fuels is researching technologies and developing projects to convert low-grade or stranded coal, biomass and oil shale into transport fuels.
An independent board directs Ambre Fuels Limited, with separate chief executive officers for the US and Australian operations.
In Queensland, Australia, the Ambre Energy group holds 783 km2 of coal exploration permits containing two separate JORC-compliant coal resources; the 459Mt Felton North coal deposit and the 304Mt Mount Molar deposit.
Ambre Energy is also the largest private owner of oil shale leases in Utah, USA, with 38,000 acres across 18 mineral leases and in-place resources of 8.7 billion metric tons containing 5.5 billion in-situ barrels of shale oil.
