Community Liaison Group
To inform consultation activities on ambreCTL, a Community Liaison Group (CLG) has been formed which comprises landholders and members of community, business, environmental and other interest groups, and individuals.
The CLG is not a decision-making body. Through its terms of reference, it provides an opportunity to those who want closer involvement with the project during the development of an EIS. It will help ensure adequate opportunities are provided to people to find out about the project and will contribute to EIS studies.
The CLG’s inaugural meeting was held in September 2010. It will meet regularly after draft Terms of Reference for ambreCTL are available.
The CLG is part of an open and structured community consultation process. It will directly contribute to the project development and a shared understanding of the community and potential project impacts.
Membership is open to landholders, local interest groups and individuals. Stakeholders can express their interest at any time by calling 1800 262 285 (1800 AMB CTL) or emailing info@feltonCLG.com.au for an information kit. Membership is based on providing a representative cross-section of the community.
A CLG was established in 2009 for the Felton DME project, and provided a successful forum for discussing and exchanging views of relevance to that project.
